War Memorials Trust Learning Programme

The War Memorials Trust runs a youth focused Learning Programme to help young people, learn about the history and significance of war memorial heritage, ensuring they have the skills and inspiration to continue to care for war memorials for another hundred years.

Through their learning website The War Memorials Trust provides materials for use in schools and a range of youth groups. Young people can learn in a variety of ways and the Learning Programme encourages a number of approaches. Through researching the names on a war memorial, investigating the wide variety of war memorial designs or getting involved in practical conservation projects that help preserve these important pieces of history, young people can uncover the fascinating personal stories of those who served and make a real difference to their local community by taking responsibility for their local heritage.
