Great War Centenary presentations 12 September

Second in a series of talks at All Saints’ church, Westbury, commemorating the Great War, “Mons to the Marne and back again”. The story of ‘The Old Contemptibles’. The Legend of the ‘Angels of Mons’, the Retreat, the ‘Miracle of the Marne’ and the First Battle of Ypres are recounted in this presentation. Cost is £8 which includes wine, tea or coffee. The presenter will be Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Coutts-Britton, a military historian and battlefield guide.
