Warning for those using original gas masks and helmets

For those of you involved in events using original gas masks and helmets please follow the link below for advice issued by the Health and Safety Executive around the risks from asbestos.

Of particular relevance for First World War projects is the risk of asbestos being present in British ‘Brodie’ helmets.

If in doubt, do not use original items. Replicas are readily available for use in re-enactments and teaching
