The Wall of Remembrance Exhibition

A schools project has been underway across the county with thousands of children making commemorative crosses to recognise the individuals from within their own communities who gave their lives during the First World War. The wall of remembrance, which bears the names of all those from Wiltshire who died in the war is now touring the county.
St. Peter’s Church, Marlborough will host the wall from midday on the 18th of August to the 12th of September, between 10am and 4:30pm on Mondays to Saturdays.
This project was launched at a commemorative event held at Tidworth Cemetery on 30 July and the exhibition will move on from Marlborough to Salisbury, Devizes and Melksham and venues and dates will be announced soon.

Date: 19 August 2014
