Corsham Town Council are staging a WW1 Recruitment Day on the 19th August between 11am and 3pm re-creating a Recruitment Office in the Town Hall where it would have been hastily set up in 1914. Recruiting Officers will be on hand to take potential new recruits through the process including the necessary paper work and even uniform.
Please pop in for an insight into what was an important part of the mobilisation of troops at the start of the war in 1914.
